Description
- This 10 pack of live Okinawa sweet potato slips gives you a simple way to start a purple sweet potato patch at home. Okinawa sweet potatoes are known for their pale outer skin and bright purple flesh. On arrival, place the slips in water in a shaded spot until new roots begin to form, usually within a few days. Choose a planting area with full sun and loose, well-draining soil, and space slips about 12-18 inches apart in rows 3 feet apart. Water deeply after planting and keep the soil lightly moist until the vines start growing. Slips are live plants, so size and appearance may vary slightly.
