Description
- Grow your own Okinawa purple sweet potatoes with this set of 10 live slips. Okinawa is a sweet potato variety with light skin and rich purple flesh. When your slips arrive, unpack them right away and place the stems in a cup of water, out of direct sun, for 1-3 days to help them recover from shipping. Some leaves may wilt or yellow during transit, which is normal. Plant the slips 12-18 inches apart, burying the stem up to the top few leaves, then water well. Keep the soil evenly moist for the first two weeks. Sweet potatoes need a long, warm growing season, and results depend on climate, soil, and care.
